## Synopsis

Face Off (2011-2018) is an American reality competition series created for Syfy, produced with French co-production credits. Contestants who work as special effects makeup artists face elaborate weekly challenges in which they design and build prosthetic transformations, and judges eliminate the weakest work until one winner takes the grand prize and the honor of being named Hollywood's next great effects artist. Judges Glenn Hetrick, Neville Page and Ve Neill assess each build alongside mentor Michael Westmore, while host McKenzie Westmore guides the proceedings. Across thirteen seasons and more than 160 episodes, the show moves briskly through sculpting, molding and painting tasks that reward ingenuity under pressure. Its tone is energetic and earnest, with an emphasis on craft, rivalry and the pride of seeing a difficult transformation come to life on screen. Fans of Project Runway, Top Chef and Making It will find the same blend of creative skill, elimination drama and expert critique. The format suits viewers who enjoy watching artisans solve visual problems with practical materials and a clear finish line.
