## Synopsis

Ronin Warriors (1988-1989) is a Japanese animated action fantasy series created by Sunrise and broadcast by Nagoya TV. Five young men who wear mystical samurai armor are drawn into a battle against the demonic overlord Talpa, and their task is to shield a vulnerable mortal from his forces. Ryou Sanada (Takeshi Kusao) and Touma Hashiba (Hiroshi Takemura) lead the group, with Seiji Date (Daiki Nakamura) and Shin Mouri (Nozomu Sasaki) rounding out the team, while Shutendouji and Anubis (Kiyoyuki Yanada and Yasunori Matsumoto) serve as the villainous forces they must face. Each episode follows a recurring cycle of ambush, transformation into armored form, and hard-fought combat against supernatural foes, building a steady arc across a single season of 39 episodes. The tone mixes earnest heroism, sweeping battle spectacle, and a touch of melancholy, and its supernatural mecha-inflected imagery gives it a distinctive 1980s Japanese animation look. Fans of Saint Seiya, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and Mobile Suit Gundam will find familiar pleasures in its armored team dynamics and good-versus-evil stakes.
