## Synopsis

RBD: The Family (2007) is a Mexican telenovela-style musical comedy-drama series created by Cris Morena and Pedro Damián for Sky One, produced by Televisa. Loosely centered on the fictional lives of the famous Mexican pop group RBD, the single-season run follows a close circle of bandmates, with Poncho played by Alfonso Herrera, Annie played by Anahí, Chris played by Christian Chávez, Ucker played by Christopher Von Uckermann, Dul played by Dulce María, and May played by Maite Perroni at its center. The engine is the tangle of romance, rivalry, and friendship that follows young performers as they juggle fame, rehearsals, and personal entanglements. Its fourteen 45-minute episodes move briskly, mixing sitcom-style comic exaggeration with melodramatic romance and musical numbers. The atmosphere is bright, sentimental, and playful, with a soap opera heart. Fans of Rebelde Way, Chiquititas, and Hannah Montana will find a familiar kinship in its blend of teen pop glamour and heightened emotional drama, making it a light, sincere watch for anyone drawn to Latin American musical soaps about young stars.
