Reviewers generally found the series a lesser, formulaic follow-up to the 1976 film, with a retro sci-fi charm undercut by modest production and repetitive episodes.

## Synopsis

Logan's Run is an American science fiction adventure series that carries the 1976 film's premise into a sealed domed city of the twenty-third century, where citizens are required to die upon reaching thirty. Logan, a rebellious enforcer of the system, begins to doubt the rules he has served and goes on the run in search of a mythical refuge called Sanctuary, joined by a woman determined to escape with him. Each hour-long episode is built around pursuit: evading hunters, slipping through the city's hidden corners, and confronting a regime that enforces its laws without mercy. The tone is earnest and adventurous, with a paranoid undercurrent and the bright, retro sheen of late 1970s network television. Its themes of conformity, mortality, and the cost of questioning authority remain resonant, and the journey toward freedom carries as much weight as the encounters along the way. Viewers who enjoy lone-rebel dystopias and cat-and-mouse chases will find a familiar, nostalgic pleasure here, even as the show's ambitions outpace its single season.
