## Synopsis

Undergrads (2001) is a Canadian-American adult animated comedy series created by Pete Williams for MTV, with later airings on Teletoon and Comedy Central. Williams, who drafted the concept after dropping out of college at nineteen, also voices most of the principal characters, including the lead Nitz, Cal, Rocko and Gimpy, alongside Rob Tinkler as Mump, Yannick Bisson as Crougar and Stoner Dave, and Katie Griffin as Charity. The series follows four college freshmen whose days drift between dorm life, parties, and half-hearted attempts at schoolwork, with each thirty-minute episode built from loose, self-contained misadventures rather than a tightly plotted arc. Its engine is the gap between the characters' ambitions and their inertia, and the humor leans crude and irreverent, the kind of slacker satire that found a home on MTV's adult animation lineup. The thirteen-episode run has a scrappy, unpolished energy and a cynical, goofy register. Viewers who enjoy Beavis and Butt-Head, Sealab 2021 or Drawn Together will find a similar appetite for absurd, deliberately rough animated comedy. The short run is a single season that was cut off before the series could build further.
