## Synopsis

Dance in the Vampire Bund (2010) is a Japanese animated supernatural action series created for AT-X and produced by SHAFT, a Japanese anime television adaptation with a single twelve-episode season. Mina Tepeş, the vampire princess who rules her kind, is voiced by Aoi Yuki, and her efforts to bring vampires into the open are anchored by Yuki Saegusa, voiced by Chiwa Saito, a schoolgirl drawn into Mina's dangerous world. Mina spends a fortune to buy a district off Japan's coast as a future haven for vampires, then tries to reveal their existence to the world, only to face politicians, terrorists and rival vampire factions determined to assassinate her. The engine of each episode is survival under pressure: swordplay, bloody confrontations and conspiracies collide with Yuki's attempts to keep a normal life. The tone mixes gory action and cruelty with romance, melancholy and camp, and the vampire-politics premise gives the series a sharp edge. Fans of Blood+ and Hellsing Ultimate will find resonance in its blend of vampire lore, political intrigue and stylized anime violence, and viewers who enjoy shonen-influenced vampire action will feel at home in its heightened world.
