## Synopsis

Braquo (2009-2016) is a French crime drama series created by Olivier Marchal for Canal+. Its story follows a group of Paris police officers who use violence and intimidation to solve crimes, with Eddy Caplan (Jean-Hugues Anglade) leading a squad whose methods push them ever closer to the criminals they hunt. Joseph Malerba plays Walter Morlighem, Karole Rocher plays Roxane Delgado, and Nicolas Duvauchelle plays Théo Wachevski, all members of the unit whose loyalties are tested episode after episode. Each season of this four-season serialized series runs eight episodes of roughly fifty minutes, built around investigations into organized crime, police corruption and street violence in the French capital. The engine is a team that wants to win its cases at any price while the cost piles up on their own consciences and families. The tone is hard-edged, tense and bleak, with a gritty, rain-soaked Paris as its backdrop. Fans of The Shield and Engrenages will find resonance in its morally compromised cops, its brutal set pieces and its French take on the dirty-cop thriller.
