## Synopsis

Dallas (2012-2014) is an American prime time soap opera revival created by Cynthia Cidre and David Jacobs, aired on TNT and rated TV-14. It revisits the Ewing clan at Southfork, the sprawling Texas ranch that doubles as the seat of an oil fortune. Larry Hagman returns as scheming patriarch J.R. Ewing, alongside Patrick Duffy as Bobby Ewing and Linda Gray as Sue Ellen Ewing, while a new generation arrives in the form of Jesse Metcalfe as Christopher Ewing and Josh Henderson as John Ross Ewing. Jordana Brewster as Elena Ramos and Julie Gonzalo as Pamela Rebecca Barnes bring fresh romantic and rival entanglements, and Ken Kercheval as Cliff Barnes keeps the old feud alive. The engine of each episode is the constant maneuvering for control of the family business, with boardroom deals, secret alliances and marital betrayals turning every dinner table into a battlefield. The series runs for three seasons with forty episodes in total, a serialized melodrama where cliffhangers carry from one week to the next. Its tone is glossy, dramatic and openly theatrical, with a wry edge and a Texas heat that feels both nostalgic and combustible. Fans of Dynasty, Succession and the original Dallas will find resonance in its appetite for ambition, rivalry and oil-soaked excess.
