## Synopsis

Ladies versus Butlers! (2010) is a Japanese animated romantic comedy series created as an anime adaptation of a light novel, aired on AT-X and produced by XEBEC. The story follows Akiharu, a boy raised by his uncle after his parents' deaths, who enrolls at a mostly female academy that trains maids and butlers for placements in high society households. Voiced by a cast led by Mai Nakahara as Selnia Iori Frameheart, Ami Koshimizu as Sanae Shikikagami, and Ayako Kawasumi as Tomomi Saikyō, the series builds its episodes around daily school life, rivalries, and the awkward social pressures of being the lone male among a crowd of women. Across a single season of twelve episodes, the engine is simple: Akiharu wants to get through school and find his place, while the academy's strict service training and the girls' competing ambitions keep throwing him into comic situations. The tone is light, breezy, and fan-service driven, with a harem setup at its center. Viewers who enjoy the school romcom comedy of Maria-sama ga Miteru and the ensemble harem antics of Haganai will find familiar territory here, though the show leans more openly into fan service. It is a short, self-contained romp best suited to viewers who want easy laughs and light romance rather than deep drama.
