## Synopsis

Bloody Monday (2008-2010) is a Japanese cyber thriller series created by Shin Kibayashi for TBS, adapted from a manga and produced with TOHO. Fujimaru Takagi (Haruma Miura), a brilliant high school student with a gift for hacking, is pulled into a fight against Bloody Monday, a vicious form of viral terrorism that threatens everyone he loves. Takeru Satoh plays Otoya Kujo, and Michiko Kichise plays Maya Orihara, both drawn into the sprawling investigation. The engine of the show is a race against an invisible enemy: Fujimaru must trace digital intrusions, decode hidden networks and stay one step ahead of attackers who can strike anywhere at once. Each episode layers new clues, shifting alliances and escalating attacks across a two-season serialized story spanning twenty episodes. Set in contemporary Japan, the series blends the procedural pace of a techno investigation with the anxious paranoia of a national crisis. Its tone is tense and propulsive, with moments of dread about how far ordinary systems can be turned against the public. Fans of Death Note, Liar Game and Mr. Robot will find resonance in its clever protagonist, moral pressure and relentless momentum.
