## Synopsis

Brødrene Dal og Spektralsteinene (1982) is a Norwegian family science fiction adventure series created for NRK1 and produced with YLE and SVT, a single thirteen-episode season of roughly 25-minute episodes. The story follows the three Dal brothers, led by Roms Dal (Knut Lystad) with his siblings Brumund Dal (Trond Kirkvaag) and Gaus Dal (Lars Mjøen), who dig for a meteor fragment and uncover a shining diamond-like stone. After Roms is visited by an alien and receives a ring holding blueprints for an unknown machine, the brothers decide to build it, and a single accidental activation sends them off on a time-travelling adventure. Each episode pairs homemade gadgetry with brotherly squabbles and a narrator's wry commentary, while Professor Slatters (Arne Bang-Hansen) and a wartime-era villain add pressure to the quest. The tone is playful, wondrous and gently comic, with a sense of old-fashioned children's television adventure. Fans of Doctor Who, Back to the Future and Sabrina the Teenage Witch will find a similar blend of time-travel wonder and family-friendly charm, though the series is a small, earnest product of its era rather than a blockbuster spectacle.
