## Synopsis

Forever Knight (1992-1996) is a Canadian supernatural crime drama series created by James D. Parriott and Barney Cohen, broadcast on CBS. Geraint Wyn Davies stars as Nick Knight, an eight-century-old vampire who works as a homicide detective on the night shift in modern Toronto, hoping to find a way back to being human. He is supported by Catherine Disher as Dr. Natalie Lambert, a medical examiner who knows his secret, and Blu Mankuma as Captain Joe Reese, his demanding superior, with Nigel Bennett as the ancient vampire Lucien LaCroix pulling him back toward his old life. Each episode pairs a murder investigation with Nick's struggle to resist his hunger, so the case-driven format carries an ongoing moral arc across three seasons and seventy episodes. The atmosphere is gothic and melancholic, with night city streets, dim interiors, and a steady undercurrent of regret and angst. Fans of Moonlight, Angel and other brooding urban supernatural series will find resonance in its blend of police procedure and centuries-old guilt. The show offers a distinctive take on the vampire mythos, rooted in the lonely work of a detective who hunts killers while being haunted by his own past.
