## Synopsis

Nip/Tuck (2003-2010) is an American FX medical drama series created by Ryan Murphy. Hotshot plastic surgeons Dr. Sean McNamara (Dylan Walsh) and Dr. Christian Troy (Julian McMahon) run a glossy Miami practice while their own lives unravel. Sean wrestles with his marriage to Julia (Joely Richardson) and his son Matt (John Hensley), while Christian chases romance and sexual adventure, and their partnership is strained by rivalry and ambition. Each season is built from a steady stream of elective procedures, patients with vanity-driven and often bizarre requests, and the professional fallout that follows them home. Across seven seasons the story runs as one continuing serialized saga rather than a case-of-the-week format. The series is provocative and sensational, with a sardonic, glossy, and sometimes melodramatic tone that mixes soapy personal stakes with darkly comic medical spectacle. Fans of Grey's Anatomy and Dexter will find resonance in its blend of professional intrigue and moral compromise, set against the sun-bleached backdrop of present-day Miami.
