## Synopsis

Transformers: Rescue Bots (2012-2016) is a Canadian and American animated kids' science fiction series created by Jeff Kline, Brian Hohlfeld and Nicole Dubuc for Discovery Family, Teletoon and Hub Network. Produced by Hasbro Studios and rooted in the Transformers toy line, it follows a team of young Autobots who are not yet ready for full battle against the Decepticons. Sent on a vital mission by Optimus Prime, the rookie robots train as rescue workers, responding to disasters and emergencies in an ordinary human town. Cody Burns (voice of Elan Garfias) and his sister Danielle Burns (voice of Lacey Chabert) are the human kids who help the robots, while Doc Green (voice of LeVar Burton) guides the rescue operations. The engine of each episode is a concrete rescue: a stranded person, a collapsing structure, a dangerous storm, with the Bots learning teamwork and courage as they go. Running four seasons and 104 twenty-minute episodes, the show is a case-of-the-week adventure with a light running arc. Its tone is upbeat, earnest and playful, with bright colors and gentle humor. Fans of Transformers: Animated and Heroes will find resonance in its mix of robot spectacle and warm, family-friendly lessons about helping others.
