## Synopsis

Behind Closed Doors (2011-2014) is a United States Telemundo telenovela thriller created by Luis Manzo, Jairo Arcila and José Ignacio Valenzuela for Telemundo. Across a single season of 165 episodes, two powerful families, the Arismendi and the Conde clans, find themselves caught in a web of slander, money, sex and murder that they both helped build. Catherine Siachoque plays Ignacia Conde, Sarah Mintz plays Pilar Arismendi, Angélica María plays Cecilia Arismendi and Miguel Varoni plays Javier Ruiz, with Gabriel Porras and David Chocarro among the principal figures tangled in the rivalry. The engine of the story is a long chain of accusations, hidden loyalties and shifting alliances, where each family's ambition keeps forcing the other into dangerous exposure. Told in the classic telenovela manner, the show moves through melodramatic confrontations, romantic entanglements and escalating crime investigations, giving it a glossy, scandal-soaked atmosphere. Its tone is heated and suspenseful, with a constant undercurrent of paranoia. Fans of Betty la fea, Pasión de gavilanes and Dallas will find resonance in its rival-family intrigue and serialized soap structure.
