## Synopsis

The Quick Draw McGraw Show is a 1959 to 1961 American animated comedy from Hanna-Barbera, syndicated across three seasons and 135 episodes. Each half hour bundles three short cartoons rather than following one continuing story. The headliner is Quick Draw McGraw, a horse sheriff who plays out frontier lawman cliches in a broad Wild West town, joined by his sidekick Baba Looey. Between his segments sit Augie Doggie and Doggie Daddy, a father and son dog pair whose domestic mischief runs on gentle affection, and Snooper and Blabber, cat and mouse detectives whose pursuits always collapse into bumbling chaos. The engine is simple and repeatable: a gag, a chase, and a comic reversal before each segment closes. The mood is breezy, bright and nostalgic, with broad slapstick, warm voice performances and a fondness for the stock characters of old movies. Nothing lingers past the closing gag, which makes the series easy to dip into, comforting to revisit and built for the rhythm of Saturday morning viewing.
