## Synopsis

Walker, Texas Ranger (1993-2001) is an American network action drama created by Albert S. Ruddy and Paul Haggis for CBS. Chuck Norris stars as Cordell Walker, a modern-day Texas Ranger whose independent, unorthodox methods come from the rugged traditions of the Old West. He works alongside rookie Ranger James Trivette (Clarence Gilyard Jr.), an former football player who relies on reason, computers, and cellular phones, while Assistant District Attorney Alex Cahill (Sheree J. Wilson) pushes back against his rough-edged approach. His closest friend, retired Ranger C.D. Parker (Noble Willingham), runs a country and western saloon that serves as a gathering point for the team. Across nine seasons, the series unfolds as a case-of-the-week crime procedural in which the trio tracks down criminals across small towns and big cities throughout Texas, with martial arts set pieces and a steady undercurrent of romantic tension. The tone is earnest, wholesome, and heroic, with a strong sense of moral clarity and a rural, southern atmosphere. Fans of Justified, Longmire, and The Dukes of Hazzard will find a similar mix of frontier-minded lawmen, Texas landscapes, and straightforward action storytelling.
