## Synopsis

NTSF:SD:SUV:: (2011-2013) is an American adult swim parody series created by Paul Scheer. Its quarter-hour episodes spoof police procedurals and action films through the absurd exploits of the National Terrorism Strike Force in San Diego. Paul Scheer plays agent Trent Hauser, with June Diane Raphael as Piper Ferguson, Martin Starr as Sam Stern, and Rob Riggle as the President of the Navy. The engine is pure bluster: the agents chase threats with grave seriousness while the case files collapse into nonsense, bureaucratic jargon, and sudden surreal detours. Each episode is a self-contained burst of deadpan mockery, so the show plays well in any order. Across three seasons the tone stays breezy, irreverent, and gleefully silly, with a mock-heroic register that revels in genre clichés. Fans of Reno 911!, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! will find the same appetite for deadpan parody. The series is a brief, dense hit of cop-movie spoof for viewers who enjoy absurd comedy.
