## Synopsis

Behzat Ç.: An Ankara Policeman (2010-2019) is a Turkish crime drama series created for Star TV and BluTV, a Turkish national-television police procedural spanning four seasons and 105 episodes of roughly 65 minutes each. Erdal Beşikçioğlu plays Behzat Ç., a personally troubled and officially discredited police chief who leads an inharmonious team in the Ankara Police Force. Fatih Artman plays his colleague Harun Sinanoğlu, while Canan Ergüder plays prosecutor Esra Bulut, whose path crosses the squad's on case after case. Each week the team works a fresh murder or crime, tracking suspects through the streets and offices of the Turkish capital with grinding, procedural patience. Beneath those case-of-the-week investigations runs a slower current: Behzat's personal wounds and his mounting conflict with rotten department officials and bureaucrats. The tone is gritty, tense and often bleak, with a stubborn sense of loyalty holding the squad together. Fans of The Wire and Hill Street Blues will find resonance in its institutional grit and its flawed, unglamorous detective at the center of the story.
