## Synopsis

Lie to Me (2011) is a South Korean romantic comedy series created by Choi Yun-jeong for SBS, a single-season k-drama of sixteen episodes. Civil servant Gong Ah-jung (Yoon Eun-hye) tells people she is secretly married to a wealthy company chief, and that small lie snowballs when she must actually pretend to be married to the executive Hyun Ki-joon (Kang Ji-hwan). Their days fill with staged appearances, family dinners and office rumors, as each lie demands another lie to hold it up. The supporting cast, including Hyun Sang-hee (Sung Joon) and Oh Yoon-joo (Jo Yoon-hee), keeps the social pressure and workplace tangles lively. Set in contemporary Seoul, the story plays the gap between wealth and ordinary working life against a slowly warming romance. The tone is breezy and playful, with flustered comedy and sincere moments of longing. Fans of You're Beautiful, Full House and While You Were Sleeping will find the same mix of deception and tender romance.
