## Synopsis

Trailer Park Boys (2001-2018) is a Canadian mockumentary sitcom created by Mike Clattenburg. Following the Showcase network run and later Netflix episodes, the twelve-season, 105-episode comedy follows Julian (John Paul Tremblay) and Ricky (Robb Wells), longtime pals who run petty scams and schemes from Sunnyvale Trailer Park in Nova Scotia alongside the good-natured Bubbles (Mike Smith). Their plans are continually undermined by their own incompetence, drinking, and the squabbles of a close-knit community, while the park's bumbling supervisor James Lahey (John Dunsworth) keeps trying to rein them in. The engine of each short episode is simple: a scheme that starts with confidence and collapses into chaos, with the characters bluffing their way through trouble. The series unfolds as a continuing comedy, with recurring characters and running storylines across its seasons. Its tone is crude, irreverent, and warm, with a loyal, affectionate heart beneath the profanity and dark humor. Set in a present-day Nova Scotia trailer park, it feels like a rough-edged cousin of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and The Office, a cult favorite whose devoted fans quote its lines and raise a glass to its characters.
