## Synopsis

Last Man Standing (2011-2021) is a American multi-camera family sitcom created by Jack Burditt for ABC and later FOX. Tim Allen plays Mike Baxter, a married father of three who clings to his sense of manliness as his wife Vanessa (Nancy Travis) and a houseful of daughters steer the household. Héctor Elizondo rounds out the family as Ed Alzate, and Christoph Sanders appears as Kyle Anderson among the principal cast. Each episode is a self-contained domestic story built from everyday friction: a failed attempt at a weekend project, a miscommunication with the kids, a clash over household rules and office rivalries. The engine is simple: a man wants respect and a little control, and the family keeps quietly teaching him otherwise. The show runs nine seasons and nearly two hundred episodes, a long, steady run of single-camera-style comedy filmed before a live audience. Its tone is warm, breezy and cozy, with sincere affection under the teasing, and it avoids pointed politics in favour of broad gags. Fans of Home Improvement, Everybody Loves Raymond and According to Jim will find resonance in its familiar suburban comedy of errors and its gentle take on changing gender roles.
