## Synopsis

Up All Night (2011-2013) is a American family sitcom created by Emily Spivey for NBC. Christina Applegate plays Reagan Brinkley, an acerbic working magazine mother whose life is upended when she and her husband Chris Brinkley (Will Arnett) become first-time parents. Will Arnett anchors the household as Chris, a stay-at-home dad who embraces domestic life with a mix of pride and bewilderment. Maya Rudolph appears as Ava Alexander, Reagan's colleague and friend, adding a sharp counterweight to the workplace scenes. Blythe Danner and Jason Lee bring in the opinionated grandparent and extended-family energy that keeps the household noisy. The engine of each episode is simple: the couple tries to keep work, marriage and a fragile infant schedule afloat while meddling relatives offer unsolicited advice. Across two seasons and thirty-five episodes, the show moves in a light, single-camera rhythm built around banter and small domestic crises. Its tone is irreverent, breezy and candid about how exhausting parenthood can be, with the warmth arriving through the characters' loyalty to one another. Fans of Modern Family and The New Adventures of Old Christine will find resonance in its sharp ensemble comedy and frank take on modern family life.
