## Synopsis

Catscratch (2005-2007) is an American animated kids comedy created by Doug TenNapel for Nickelodeon. Its premise is simple and playful: well-kept cat brothers Mr. Blik, Gordon and Waffle inherit their former owner's fortune and with it a lavish mansion, along with access to the very best adventures money can buy. Mr. Blik (voiced by Wayne Knight), Gordon (voiced by Rob Paulsen) and Waffle (voiced by Kevin McDonald) drive the stories, with Maurice LaMarche voicing Hovis and Liliana Mumy voicing the human Kimberly. Each episode is a self-contained caper built from pampered feline vanity, bumbling schemes and slapstick mishaps that spill out from the household and into the wider world. The single season of forty episodes runs in a brisk, bright, goofy register, with a mischievous cartoon sensibility that keeps the mood light and breezy rather than heavy. Its structure is episodic and the humor is accessible for younger viewers, making it an easy watch for families. Fans of Wallace & Gromit, Ren & Stimpy and Invader Zim will find a similar blend of eccentric characters, comic misadventure and animated silliness.
