## Synopsis

Missing (2012) is an American network thriller created by Gregory Poirier for ABC. Ashley Judd stars as Becca Winstone, a mother whose son Michael (Nick Eversman) vanishes while studying abroad, and she travels across Europe in a race against time to find him. Her search pulls her into contact with former CIA operative Dax Miller (Cliff Curtis) and Italian figure Giancarlo Rossi (Adriano Giannini), while her own husband Paul Winstone (Sean Bean) becomes part of the tangle of secrets she must unravel. Each episode is built around a new lead, a shifting alliance, or a location change that tightens the pressure on Becca, with the conspiracy growing more personal as the hour-long episodes progress. The single season runs ten episodes and was canceled after its initial run, so the story stops before it fully resolves. The tone is taut, urgent and emotionally raw, with a constant undercurrent of dread and a mother's refusal to stop. Fans of Taken, 24 and The Night Manager will find resonance in its propulsive chases, international settings and a protagonist who will do anything for her family.
