## Synopsis

Dos Hogares (2011-2012) is a Mexican telenovela created by María Zarattini and Emilio Larrosa for Las Estrellas, produced by Televisa. Anahí leads the cast as Angélica Estrada Mejía, joined by Carlos Ponce as Santiago Ballesteros Ortiz and Sergio Goyri as Ricardo Valtierra, with Alfredo Adame as Armando Garza and Laura León as Refugio Urbina de Lagos rounding out the principal households. The engine of the show is romantic entanglement: characters fall for the wrong people, secrets surface between two families, and each week brings another confrontation, reconciliation or betrayal that pushes the central romances forward. Told across a single run of 150 episodes, it is one continuing serialized story rather than a case-of-the-week format, shaped by the daily rhythm of the telenovela tradition. The tone is melodramatic and emotionally heightened, with swelling music, dramatic reveals and a warm, sentimental register. Its themes of divided loyalty and the pull between two households give it a sweeping, family-centered atmosphere. Fans of Rosalinda, La Usurpadora and Mirada de mujer will find resonance in its romantic intensity and long-form Mexican melodrama.
