## Synopsis

Gravity Falls (2012-2016) is an American animated mystery comedy series created by Alex Hirsch for Disney Channel and Disney XD. Twin siblings Dipper Pines (Jason Ritter) and Mabel Pines (Kristen Schaal) spend a summer working for their great uncle Stan at a tourist trap in the odd Oregon town of Gravity Falls, where Stan is played by Hirsch himself alongside several other voices. Dipper, a curious bookworm, and Mabel, a relentlessly cheerful dreamer, uncover strange creatures, cryptic symbols and a hidden mythology lurking behind the town's ordinary facades. The show runs for two seasons of twenty episodes each, with self-contained comic adventures that build into a season-long puzzle box. Linda Cardellini voices the rebellious Wendy Corduroy, adding a teenage counterpoint to the younger twins. The tone is playful and warmly eerie, with deadpan humor, quirky Americana and genuine emotional stakes about siblings growing up. Fans of Twin Peaks, Star vs. the Forces of Evil and Stranger Things will find resonance in its blend of small town mystery, whimsy and unsettling secrets.
