## Synopsis

Lightning Point (2012) is an Australian teen science fiction series created by Jonathan M. Shiff and produced for Network Ten. Set in the quiet surf town of Lightning Point, the story follows two alien teenagers, Zoey (Lucy Fry) and Kiki (Jessica Green), who land there from a spaceship and must blend into everyday life. Their central engine is a double secret: they have to hide what they are while learning about Earth, surf culture and first romance. Their best hope for an ally is local surfer Amber Mitchell (Philippa Coulthard), whom they must befriend and eventually trust with the truth. Across a single season of twenty-six light episodes, each story is built around small town school life, beach rivalries and teenage crushes, with the sci-fi premise providing a playful undercurrent rather than heavy danger. The tone is sunny, sincere and breezy, with a gentle sense of wonder at ordinary coastal routines. As the girls discover that they are not the only extraterrestrial visitors to have reached the town, the mystery adds a quiet layer of intrigue. Fans of H2O: Just Add Water and Roswell will find resonance in its blend of teen friendship, otherworldly secrets and sun-washed Australian atmosphere.
