## Synopsis

My Favorite Martian (1963-1966) is an American network sitcom created by John L. Greene for CBS. Newspaper reporter Tim O'Hara (Bill Bixby) finds a crashed spaceship and the lone alien survivor, who passes himself off as Tim's Uncle Martin, played with dry, deadpan patience by Ray Walston. Their household comedy runs on the constant effort to keep the stranded visitor's secret from neighbors and authorities, while Martin tinkers with his ship in the garage and hopes to return home. Detective Bill Brennan (Alan Hewitt) and Mrs. Lorelei Brown (Pamela Britton) add friction and warmth to the everyday scrapes. The show runs three seasons and over a hundred episodes of self-contained, case-of-the-week mishaps set in early 1960s Los Angeles. Its tone is breezy, gentle and wholesome, with a cozy, old-fashioned family feel and a light touch of science fiction. Fans of Bewitched, Mork and Mindy and Alf will find similar charm in a supernatural houseguest comedy.
