## Synopsis

Miss XV (2012) is a Mexican teen telenovela created by Pedro Damián for Canal 5. Its heart is the friendship of Valentina Contreras (Paulina Goto) and Natalia De Acosta (Natasha Dupeyrón), two best friends born on the same day at the same hour who pour their energy into planning the perfect quinceañera birthday party. Their romantic ambitions center on the boys they long to date, Nico Pérez (Yago Muñoz) and Eduardo Contreras (Jack Duarte), and every episode turns on schemes, rivalries and social maneuvering among classmates and family. Valentina's cousin Eleazar Gómez's character Alexis Reyes adds another layer of attachment to the story. The series runs as a single season of 120 episodes, a long-form serialized soap built on romantic longing, friendship and the pressure to shine in front of peers. Its tone is glossy, sentimental and melodramatic, with a lighthearted emotional register that leans into youthful hope and dramatic misunderstanding. Set in contemporary Mexico, it sits within the telenovela tradition of heightened romance and class-conscious teen life. Fans of Rebelde, Gossip Girl and Degrassi: The Next Generation will find resonance in its blend of teen friendships, crushes and social ambition.
