## Synopsis

Shaun the Sheep (2007-2025) is a British stop motion animated family comedy created by Richard Starzak for BBC One and CBBC, produced by the Aardman studio. Shaun, a clever sheep who thinks and acts like a person, leads his flock in a run of short seven-minute episodes on a sheep farm, while the sheepdog Bitzer, voiced by John Sparkes, tries to keep the mischief contained. Justin Fletcher voices Shaun along with several other characters, and the farmer, also voiced by Sparkes, remains blissfully unaware that his animals behave like one big happy family. Each episode is built around a simple physical gag, a small scheme or a misadventure that unfolds with little or no dialogue, so the comedy lives in expressive faces, timing and handmade clay textures. The series runs six seasons and roughly 170 episodes, and it has the cozy, gently absurd warmth of a Wallace and Gromit short. Fans of Wallace and Gromit, Pingu and Bluey will find the same wholesome, playful register here, suited to young children and the adults watching with them.
