## Synopsis

Shark (2006-2008) is an American network legal drama created by Ian Biederman for CBS. James Woods plays Sebastian Stark, a notorious Los Angeles defense attorney who becomes disillusioned after a successful defense of a wife-abuser ends in the woman's death. Haunted by the outcome, he accepts an invitation from the district attorney's office to become a public prosecutor, bringing his unorthodox but effective courtroom tactics to bear on guilty defendants. Jeri Ryan plays Jessica Devlin, a colleague who shares the prosecutor's office with him, while Danielle Panabaker plays his daughter Julie Stark, grounding his professional drive in family life. Henry Simmons appears as Isaac Wright among the supporting ensemble. Each episode is built around a fresh criminal case, moving from arrest through the courtroom, with the wider arc of Stark's personal reckoning running beneath it. Across two seasons and thirty-eight episodes, the show balances sharp legal sparring with a brooding, morally charged atmosphere. Fans of Boston Legal, The Practice and Law and Order will find resonance in its blend of courtroom theatrics, flawed brilliance and the pull of redemption.
