## What critics say

Critics generally view Still Standing as a warm, reliably funny family sitcom with a likable married couple at its center, though not especially innovative.

## Synopsis

Still Standing is a multi-camera network sitcom that follows a middle-class American married couple as they navigate parenting, household routines, and the everyday friction of a busy family home. The series is built on a likable central pairing whose easy chemistry drives most of the humor, with the comedy arising from squabbles, misunderstandings, and small domestic crises rather than from high-stakes plotting. Its tone is consistently warm, lighthearted, and reassuring, with a laugh-track rhythm and a broad, accessible sense of humor. Episodes are self-contained and easy to dip into, and recurring family members and neighbors add texture without demanding close attention. The show leans on familiar sitcom craft: sharp punchlines, physical bits, and the comfort of a household where love is never really in doubt. It appeals most to viewers who want undemanding, good-natured comedy about marriage and family, the kind of show that offers a pleasant half hour without asking for emotional heavy lifting. Its appeal lies less in innovation than in dependable warmth, making it a comfortable pick for casual, shared viewing.
