## Synopsis

Eureeka's Castle (1989-1995) is an American children's puppet series created by R.L. Stine and Judy Katschke for Nickelodeon. Cheryl Blaylock stars as Eureeka, the castle's resident witch, whose magical household is populated by puppet companions including Magellan, played by Noel MacNeal, and Quagmire, played by Pam Arciero. Lynn Hippen plays Cooey, and James J. Kroupa appears as Batley and Sir Klank, while Brian Muehl plays Bogge and Mr. Knack. Each episode follows a simple fantasy problem inside the enchanted castle, resolved through spellwork, dragon encounters and playful mishaps. The series is built around musical numbers that punctuate the storyline, giving it a bright, gentle, cheerful register aimed at young viewers. Its single season of twenty-six episodes, each running about twenty-two minutes, keeps the stakes light and the tone comforting. Fans of Sesame Street, Fraggle Rock and H.R. Pufnstuf will find a similar blend of puppetry, whimsy and sing-along fantasy. The show suits preschool and family viewing, and its castle-bound world makes an easy, gentle rewatch for families.
