## Synopsis

Paranormal Witness (2011-2016) is an American drama-documentary anthology series created by Ty Unwin and Joel Beckerman and broadcast on Syfy. Each self-contained case follows ordinary people, often shown through the intimate first-hand testimony of witnesses such as Judy Taber (Frances Stecyk) and Edwin (Daniel Cannis), as they describe encounters that defy rational explanation. Across five seasons and roughly sixty-four episodes, the engine is the dramatized recreation of each ordinary life being upended: a family or a single person tries to make sense of what they saw, heard, or felt, while the frightening events keep escalating around them. Every installment is built from a different set of witnesses, so the format rewards viewers who come for one story at a time rather than a continuing plot. The look is grittily realistic and filmic, with a tense, high-octane edge that keeps the frights grounded in real-seeming detail. The tone is unsettling and eerie, leaving much of each case unexplained and lingering in uncertainty. Fans of Ghost Adventures and Unsolved Mysteries will find resonance in its mix of real-world testimony and supernatural suspense, and viewers drawn to The Twilight Zone will recognize its appetite for the uncanny.
