## Synopsis

Der letzte Bulle (2010-2025) is a German television crime series created by Robby Dannenberg and Stefan Scheich for SAT.1. Henning Baum plays Mick Brisgau, a hard-edged homicide detective from the 1980s who wakes from a coma into a modern police department in Essen, where his old instincts, habits and attitudes sit uneasily with new procedures, technology and colleagues. Maximilian Grill plays Andreas Kringge, a younger officer tangled in his investigations, while Helmfried von Lüttichau and Robert Lohr take supporting roles in the squad. Each case is a self-contained homicide investigation, but the mismatch between old school policing and contemporary work gives the show its engine, as Brisgau pushes against the rules and the people around him. Across six seasons and 68 episodes of about 42 minutes, the tone stays brisk, grounded and wry, a fish out of water police drama with a German procedural backbone. Fans of Tatort, Life on Mars and Quantum Leap will find resonance in its blend of case driven plotting and a displaced hero's dry humor.
