## Synopsis

Beware the Batman (2013-2014) is a United States computer animated superhero series created by Sam Register and Glen Murakami for Cartoon Network and Adult Swim. Set in the early years of Bruce Wayne's career as the Batman, it follows a still-developing vigilante voiced by Anthony Ruivivar as he battles organized crime across the nights of Gotham City. His loyal butler Alfred Pennyworth, voiced by JB Blanc, keeps him grounded, while Tatsu Yamashiro, voiced by Sumalee Montano, arrives first as a martial arts swordsmaster hired as a bodyguard and then becomes a superhero partner. Lieutenant James Gordon, voiced by Kurtwood Smith, anchors the police side of the story. The single season of twenty-six episodes runs about twenty-two minutes each and is built around case-of-the-week confrontations with criminals and gangs, with an ongoing thread tying the threats together. Its tone is brisk, stylized and action-forward, with a neon-tinged night atmosphere and a youthful energy that suits younger viewers while still offering a darker crime edge. Fans of Batman: The Animated Series and Young Justice will find resonance in its blend of crime drama, stylish action and heroic partnership.
