## Synopsis

Top Boy (2011-2013) is a British crime drama series created by Ronan Bennett for Channel 4, running two seasons of eight episodes in total. Set among the housing blocks of Hackney in east London, it follows a gang of drug dealers led by Dushane (Ashley Walters), a young dealer determined to hold his territory while rivals, police and his own crew press in from every side. Lisa (Sharon Duncan-Brewster) and Sully (Kane Robinson) move through the same world of supply lines, debts and street loyalty, and the drama is built from the daily grind of the trade: stash houses, negotiations on stairwells, and the constant pressure of territorial disputes. Chantelle (Letitia Wright) and Kayla (Michaela Coel) add perspectives from the community around the gang. The tone is raw, tense and unsentimental, grounded in an honest portrait of inner-city gang culture rather than glamour. Each episode moves the power struggle forward in a continuing storyline. Fans of The Wire and gritty European gangster dramas such as Gomorrah will find the same bleak economic realism and loyalty-driven conflict here.
