## Synopsis

North South (Kuzey Güney) (2011-2013) is a Turkish romantic drama series created by Ece Yörenç for Kanal D. Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ plays Kuzey Tekinoğlu and Buğra Gülsoy plays his brother Güney, two men who are poles apart in character and in how they see the world. Both brothers fall in love with the same girl, Cemre, played by Öykü Karayel, and that shared affection becomes the engine of the series, pulling the siblings into rivalry while testing the loyalty of their family. The story unfolds across two seasons and eighty episodes of emotionally charged scenes, with the household, the brothers' conflicts, and Cemre's place between them forming the core of each installment. Family figures such as Semra Dinçer as Handan Tekinoğlu and Zerrin Tekindor as Gülten Çayak add weight to the domestic stakes. Set in contemporary Istanbul, the series is a Turkish television tradition built on heightened romance, passionate confrontations, and long-form melodrama. Viewers who enjoy the emotional intensity of Fatmagül'ün Suçu Ne? and the sibling-romance tension of Gossip Girl will find familiar pleasures here, with a tone that is sincere, sentimental, and intensely committed to its characters' feelings.
