## Synopsis

Double Dare (1986-2000) is an American Nickelodeon game show series created by Geoffrey Darby, Michael Klinghoffer, Dee Laduke and Bob Mittenthal. Hosted by Marc Summers, with Jason Harris and Tiffany Phillips appearing in later episodes, the show pits two teams against each other as they answer trivia questions to earn cash and prizes, then tackle messy physical challenges. Across four listed seasons and more than two hundred episodes, the format is a brisk, colorful kids' competition built on quick-fire questions and sloppy stunts rather than any continuing story. Each episode is a self-contained contest, so viewers can drop in at any point. The tone is playful, loud and cheerful, with the gooey, high-energy spirit that defined Nickelodeon's children's programming. Fans of Legends of the Hidden Temple, Guts and Figure It Out will find the same blend of brisk trivia, physical mess and lighthearted team rivalry.
