## Synopsis

The Secret Files of the Spy Dogs (1998-1999) is an American children's animated series created by Jim Benton for Fox Kids, produced by Saban Entertainment. Voiced by a cast that includes Micky Dolenz as Ralph, Adam West as Dog Zero and Ben Stein as the villainous Ernst Stavro Blowfish, the show follows a team of talking dog secret agents who take on missions against bumbling foes. Each episode runs about twenty minutes and is built around a self-contained case, with light running gags and playful action beats that keep the stakes low and the energy bright. The series spans two seasons and forty-four episodes, a compact run that was cancelled after its second season. Its tone is breezy, silly and good-natured, a cartoon spy adventure for younger viewers that borrows the trappings of espionage fiction, gadgets, disguises and villain schemes, and filters them through the comic logic of animal heroes. Fans of Totally Spies!, Recess and Inspector Gadget will find a similar sense of kid-friendly espionage fun in this lighthearted late-1990s cartoon.
