## Synopsis

Days of honor (2008-2013) is a Polish national-television World War II drama series created for TVP2 and produced by Akson Studio with Telewizja Polska. Its story follows the Konarski family and their circle in occupied Poland, centred on Władek Konarski (Jan Wieczorkowski) and his brother Michał Konarski (Jakub Wesołowski), with Bronek Woyciechowski (Maciej Zakościelny) and Janek Markiewicz (Antoni Pawlicki) among the principal characters. The engine of the series is the struggle to keep families, friendships and personal dignity intact while the German occupation presses in from every side, with each episode built from everyday risks like food shortages, forced labour, hidden loyalties and the constant threat of arrest. Across six seasons of thirteen episodes each, the drama moves as one continuing story rather than isolated cases, following characters through years of hardship. The tone is sober, grounded and emotionally weighty, with moments of tenderness amid dread. Its wartime setting in Warsaw and occupied Polish towns gives the series a specific historical texture. Viewers who enjoy Generation War, Band of Brothers and other European wartime family dramas will find similar resonance in its focus on ordinary people enduring history.
