## Synopsis

No. 6 (2011) is a Japanese anime science fiction series produced by BONES and aired on Fuji TV, adapted from a novel. Set in the near future, the story follows Sion, a privileged young man in a gleaming city state whose orderly life collapses after he lets a strange boy named Nezumi spend the night in his apartment. Voiced by Yuki Kaji as Sion and Yoshimasa Hosoya as Nezumi, the two become unlikely companions. Sion's effort to look into a string of mysterious deaths gets him banished to the outskirts and arrested on suspicion of murder, forcing him to run with Nezumi and rely on a fragile trust. The engine of each episode is the pursuit of truth inside a rigid, fearful society where comfort is built on exclusion. Presented as a single eleven-episode season of twenty-three-minute episodes, it is a serialized mystery with a tragic undertone. The tone is melancholic and tense, with dystopian atmosphere and a sense of injustice. Fans of Psycho-Pass, Attack on Titan and Dystopia will find resonance in its blend of conspiracy, dystopian unease and intimate bonds.
