## Synopsis

Big (2012) is a South Korean fantasy romantic comedy series created by Hong Jeong-eun and Hong Mi-ran for KBS2. Across a single sixteen-episode season, a teenager's spirit, Kang Gyung-joon, wakes in the body of Seo Yoon-jae, a thirty-year-old doctor played by Gong Yoo, who is engaged to Gil Da-ran (Lee Min-jung), the teacher from the boy's high school. The engine of the story is the awkward double life Yoon-jae must lead, navigating a wedding he never planned while the boy inside him grapples with adult responsibilities and young love. Each episode mixes hospital work, school memories, and family scenes into a playful sense of displacement. When Yoon-jae falls for another woman, the romantic tangles grow thicker and the emotional stakes deepen. The tone is breezy and wistful, with moments of genuine tenderness that give the comedy weight. Fans of body swap romances like Freaky Friday and Korean fantasy romances like My Love from the Star and Goblin will find resonance here, as this limited series offers a warm, lightly magical take on identity and longing in contemporary Seoul.
