## Synopsis

Rooftop Prince (2012) is a South Korean fantasy romantic comedy series created for SBS, a single-season k-drama that runs twenty episodes of roughly an hour each. Park Yoo-chun plays Crown Prince Lee Gak, who is pulled from the Chosun dynasty into present-day Seoul and must navigate a modern corporation while pretending to be the CEO's grandson. Jeong Yu-mi plays Hong Se Na, a woman who bears a striking resemblance to his dead wife and becomes the center of his search. Han Ji-min appears as Park-ha, adding another layer to the story's tangle of identities and longing. The engine of the series is the prince's determination to solve a three-hundred-year-old mystery surrounding a death, which pulls him through office politics, clumsy workplace disguises, and everyday Seoul life. Each episode mixes slapstick fish-out-of-water humor with romantic tension and gradually builds a wider puzzle. Set across the Joseon court and a glossy modern city, the show balances whimsical comedy with wistful longing and bittersweet sentiment. Fans of Scarlet Heart: Ryeo and Princess Hours will find resonance in its royal romance, time-crossed love and playful k-drama charm.
