## Synopsis

DNA² (1994) is a Japanese animated romantic comedy series produced by Madhouse and Studio Deen and broadcast on Nippon TV, a single-season run of twelve 25-minute episodes. Junta Momonari, a shy student who is allergic to girls, becomes the protagonist of an escalating farce after future DNA operator Karin Aoi (voiced by Mina Tominaga) shoots him with the wrong DNA-altering bullet. Junta (voiced by Keiichi Nanba) begins sporadically turning into the Mega-Playboy who can charm any woman, and Karin must restore him to normal before the change becomes permanent. The engine of each episode is a string of romantic mishaps, comic misunderstandings and gadget-driven improvisation as Karin races against a future history she is trying to rewrite. Supporting voices including Hiroko Kasahara, Megumi Hayashibara and Takehito Koyasu fill out the school ensemble.
