## Synopsis

Hit & Miss (2012) is a British crime drama miniseries created by Paul Abbott for Sky Atlantic. Chloë Sevigny plays Mia, an assassin whose hidden professional life is threatened when a letter from her former lover arrives and drags her back toward the family she has kept at a distance. Karla Crome, Reece Noi, and Vincent Regan appear among the principal cast as the people pulled into the consequences of her choices. Across six episodes of roughly forty-five minutes each, the engine is simple and gripping: a woman who has mastered controlled violence must protect the life she has built while the past presses in on every side. Each episode moves the tension forward through contract jobs, tangled loyalties, and quiet domestic scenes that expose how fragile her cover is. Set in present-day England, the series unfolds in a grounded, gritty register, with a tense, melancholic atmosphere and moments of raw emotion. Its tone and themes of identity, belonging, and family secrets will resonate with fans of Killing Eve and Top of the Lake, and of British crime series with morally complicated protagonists. It is a limited series that rewards close attention to character and consequence.
