## Synopsis

Mistresses (2013-2016) is an American soap-tinged drama comedy series created by K.J. Steinberg for ABC. Savannah Davis (Alyssa Milano), a driven lawyer pushing for partner at her firm while trying to start a family with her husband Harry (Brett Tucker), anchors a four-season, fifty-two-episode serial about the women around her. Her capricious younger sister Josslyn (Jes Macallan) parties and dates her way through life, while April Malloy (Rochelle Aytes), a recent widow and mother of two, rebuilds her life with the support of her closest friends. Therapist Karen Kim (Yunjin Kim) reconnects with the group after a complicated relationship with a patient goes too far. Each season is built from continuing storylines about secrets, romantic temptation, career pressure and the shifting loyalties between friends, with the glossy look of Los Angeles professional life underpinning the emotional stakes. The tone blends sultry soap heat with breezy humor and wistful moments of grief and reinvention. Fans of Desperate Housewives, Sex and the City and Revenge will find familiar pleasures in its mix of glamour, romantic intrigue and female friendship.
