## Synopsis

Girls und Panzer (2012-2013) is a Japanese animated slice of life series produced by Actas and broadcast on TOKYO MX. Set in a present-day Japan where Sensha-do, the traditional martial art of tank combat, is practiced by schoolgirls, it follows Miho Nishizumi (voice by Mai Fuchigami), a transfer student at Ōrai Girls' Academy in Ibaraki Prefecture. Ordered by the student council to revive the school's tank team for the national championships, Miho must recruit a ragtag group of classmates and coax them into strategy, teamwork and friendship under pressure. Her closest allies include the chatty Saori Takebe (Ai Kayano) and the quiet Mako Reizei (Yuka Iguchi). The series runs as a single twelve-episode season, with each episode built around a tank match that mixes tactical puzzles, comic misadventure and warm school life. The tone is bright, playful and comforting, with earnest sincerity about teamwork and a fondness for the quirks of its ensemble. Fans of K-On! and Haikyu!! will find resonance in its lighthearted school setting and competitive team arc, while its armored spectacle recalls the gentle martial spirit of Strike Witches. A short, easy, feel-good watch.
