## Synopsis

Corner Gas (2004-2009) is a Canadian national-television sitcom created by Brent Butt for CTV. Brent Butt stars as Brent Leroy, the proprietor of a rural gas station that is the only stop for miles around the fictional prairie town of Dog River, Saskatchewan. Around him orbit his best friend Hank Yarbo (Fred Ewanuick), the sharp-tongued Lacey Burrows (Gabrielle Miller), and his parents Oscar Leroy (Eric Peterson) and Emma Leroy (Janet Wright), along with the local constable Davis Quinton (Lorne Cardinal). Across six seasons and 107 half-hour episodes, the engine of the show is nothing more dramatic than the daily hunger for a coffee, a rumor, or a diversion in a town where very little happens. Each episode strings together small mischiefs, bungled schemes, and offbeat conversations at the counter and the diner next door. The mood is warm, wry, and deadpan, with a gentle affection for rural eccentricity. Fans of Northern Exposure, Seinfeld, and Schitt's Creek will find resonance in its observational humor and quirky ensemble of small town characters. Its episodes are easy to dip into and rewatch.
